THE SAREE ATLAS · YOUR DATA

Privacy, without complications

The Saree Atlas is an educational reference. Its interactive tools work in your browser. You do not need an account.

What stays on your device

The Almirah can remember saree traditions, quantities, shades and an optional name. The Husband’s Rescue Kit can remember recipient preferences. Your optional name, the Saree Wishlist (with any variants, colours and notes you add), the Hall of Fame, the Posebook shot list and Saree Circle invitation details may also be stored in this browser. These entries use browser-local storage and do not need to be sent to our server.

PDFs, images and sharing

All PDFs — Almirah, Gift Kit, Wishlist, Hall of Fame, Blouse Matchmaker, Showroom checklist, Posebook shot list and invitations — are generated in your browser. An Almirah PDF includes machine-readable wardrobe selections, and may include a name you entered. Personalised PDFs print the optional name you saved; clear it at any time from the Wishlist or Hall of Fame page. If you share the PDF, you also share that information with the recipient. Saree Circle cards and copied invitations contain the details you choose to enter. Check before sharing.

Fonts, server logs and analytics

The Atlas’s typefaces are served from this website itself, so reading a page does not contact a font service. Like any website, the web host may keep ordinary server access logs (such as IP address, page requested, browser type and time) for security and operation; these do not contain what you type into the tools.

No analytics service is active in this build. If one is added, the intention is cookieless, privacy-focused page-view counting (Umami Cloud) on the public website only: it would count visits to pages, not the contents of your wardrobe, wishlist, collection, poses, invitations or any other tool entry. This page will say so when it is switched on.

External links and email

External destination links, such as retailer and reference links, open only when you choose them. “Suggest a correction”, “Share” and Contact links open your own email or share app with the page address filled in; they never include your saved tool data.

Remove saved selections

You can clear the Atlas tools' browser-local selections from this browser and this website origin. Only data the Atlas itself saved (names beginning “saree-atlas”) is removed; other websites and other data in your browser are untouched. This cannot be undone: your Almirah, Wishlist, Hall of Fame, Posebook selection, gift preferences and gathering details on this device will be gone. It does not recall PDFs, messages or pictures already shared, nor erase selections saved on another device.
